Privacy Policy

Chameleons Pro Screen Monitor (“Chameleons Pro”, “we”, “our”) is software for organisations that manage Windows PCs. An admin panel and a desktop application work together so authorised admins can view live screens, screenshot history, break reports, and connected-device logs for devices they register.

Who this applies to

  • Organisation / customer — the business that buys or runs Chameleons Pro and decides which PCs to monitor.
  • Admins — people who sign in to the web panel to manage devices and view monitoring data.
  • Device users — people who use Windows PCs where the Chameleons Pro application is installed and signed in.

The organisation is responsible for telling staff that monitoring is in place, and for following labour, privacy, and workplace laws in their country or region. Chameleons Pro provides the tools; the organisation sets the policy.

What data we process

Depending on how you configure the product, Chameleons Pro may process:

  • Admin account data — email, password (stored securely), role, and session information.
  • Device registration data — friendly name, device login credentials, online status, last seen time, capture interval, and technical details such as MAC or location when the application reports them.
  • Screen content — live view frames and scheduled screenshots from registered Windows PCs.
  • Break / idle events — lock and sleep times with start, end, and duration.
  • Connected peripherals — names and connect / disconnect events for devices Windows reports (for example mouse, headphones, USB storage).
  • Technical logs — connection and service logs needed to keep the panel and application working.

We do not sell personal data to advertisers.

Why we process it

  • To provide live monitoring, screenshot history, break reports, and connected-device history.
  • To authenticate admins and device applications, and to keep one active admin web session per account where that rule is enabled.
  • To operate, secure, and improve the service (including fixing faults and preventing abuse).
  • To meet legal or contractual duties when required.

Where data is stored

Monitoring data is stored in the environment configured for your deployment (for example your server database and image storage). Screenshots and related files are held according to that setup. Access to the admin panel is limited to signed-in administrators.

Who can see monitoring data

  • Authorised admins for your organisation, based on the accounts you create.
  • Technical operators who host or maintain your Chameleons Pro instance, only as needed to run or support the system.
  • Authorities, if the law requires disclosure.

Device users do not get admin access unless you give them an admin account.

Retention

How long screenshots, live history, break logs, and peripheral logs are kept depends on your organisation’s settings and hosting limits. Admins can delete devices or records where the product allows it. When a device is removed, related monitoring data should be cleaned up according to your retention practice.

Security

We use signed-in access for the admin panel, separate device logins for the Windows application, and standard protections for passwords and sessions. No online system is perfectly secure. Protect admin passwords, sign out on shared browsers, and limit who can download or install the application.

Cookies and local storage

The admin site may use cookies or browser storage for sign-in sessions and basic preferences. These are for running the product, not for third-party advertising.

Your choices

  • Admins can change passwords, manage devices, and adjust capture intervals (including Off).
  • Organisations decide which PCs run the application and what staff are told about monitoring.
  • For access, correction, or deletion requests about monitoring records, contact your organisation’s admin first. They control the data in your deployment.

Terms of Use

By using Chameleons Pro Screen Monitor — the website, admin panel, or Windows application — you agree to these terms. If you use Chameleons Pro for an organisation, you confirm you are allowed to accept these terms on its behalf.

The product

Chameleons Pro is workplace Windows PC monitoring software: live screen view, timed screenshots, break reports, and connected-device logs managed from an admin panel. It is not antivirus software and not a consumer parental-control app.

Accounts and access

  • Keep admin and device credentials confidential. Do not share admin logins outside your authorised team.
  • You are responsible for activity under your accounts.
  • We may suspend access if we reasonably believe an account is compromised or misused.

Devices you may monitor

Only install the application and register devices you are authorised to manage — for example company-owned or company-approved PCs. Do not use Chameleons Pro to monitor someone else’s computer without a lawful right and clear workplace authority.

Plans and billing

If you purchase a paid plan, fees, device limits, and features follow the plan shown at purchase or in your agreement. Features described on the marketing site may change as the product develops. All payments are final. See the Refund Policy below — we do not offer refunds.

Availability

We aim to keep the service available, but downtime can happen for maintenance, network issues, or factors outside our control. Live view and captures need the Windows application signed in and able to reach your server.

Intellectual property

Chameleons Pro branding, software, and site content belong to us or our licensors. You get a limited right to use the product for your organisation’s monitoring needs under your plan — not to copy, resell, or reverse engineer it except where the law allows.

Disclaimer

The product is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. We do not promise that monitoring will catch every event, that captures will never fail, or that the service will be uninterrupted.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (for example lost profits, lost data beyond reasonable backup expectations, or business interruption) arising from use of Chameleons Pro. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes

We may update this Privacy & Policy page from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised text, except where local law requires a different process.

03

Refund Policy

Chameleons Pro subscriptions, seat purchases, renewals, and related charges are sold as digital / software services. Please read this carefully before you pay.

No refunds

All payments are non-refundable. Once a payment is successfully completed (including plan activation, renewals, and adding device seats), we do not provide refunds, chargebacks, credits, or partial refunds for any reason, including but not limited to:

  • Change of mind, unused seats, or unused days remaining in a billing period.
  • Choosing the wrong plan, wrong seat quantity, or deciding not to use the product after purchase.
  • Organisation restructuring, staff changes, or no longer needing monitoring.
  • Technical issues on your side (for example network, PC setup, or delayed installation of the Windows application).
  • Dissatisfaction with features, performance, or design, except where mandatory consumer law says otherwise.

What you buy

Payment buys access to the plan and seat limits shown at checkout for the stated billing period. Access starts when payment is confirmed and the subscription is activated on your account. We do not prorate unused time for refunds, and we do not refund mid-cycle cancellations.

Failed or duplicate payments

If a payment fails, no subscription change is applied and no charge should complete. If you believe you were charged twice for the same order by mistake, contact us promptly with your payment reference (for example Razorpay payment ID). We will review the payment record; a correction is limited to clear duplicate or erroneous charges only — not a refund for a valid completed purchase.

Chargebacks

Filing an unjustified chargeback or payment dispute for a valid purchase may lead to suspension or termination of your account while the dispute is reviewed. Contact us first so we can check your payment and account status.

Mandatory law

Nothing in this Refund Policy limits rights that cannot be waived under applicable law. Where a non-waivable legal right to a remedy applies, that right prevails over this section.

04

Acceptable use

When you use Chameleons Pro, you agree that you will not:

  • Monitor devices without organisational authority or against applicable law.
  • Use live view or screenshots to harass, blackmail, or unlawfully expose private information.
  • Attempt to break into other customers’ accounts, devices, or data.
  • Probe, overload, or disrupt the service outside normal use.
  • Remove or hide security or access controls in the application or panel.
  • Misrepresent who you are when requesting support or admin access.

Serious misuse may lead to suspension or termination of access.

05

Contact

For product or account questions, sign in to the admin panel or use the contact channel your organisation was given when you started. For privacy requests about monitoring records on a specific deployment, contact that organisation’s administrator first — they control the devices and stored captures.
